Destination Man

Life is a journey to an end that we cannot foresee. My destination is my journey, for it is the journey that changes the man.

Have you ever taken a ride on the subway or an LRT? I must admit that I am not a constant partaker of the service. Two days ago, I took an LRT to Kuala Lumpur to get my Visa application processed. It was my first time going on the LRT alone. I parked my car at Taman Paramount and bought a ticket to Ampang Park. Then i waited for the train to arrive. I was on the constant lookout for pickpockets or shady figures because the LRT in Malaysia is known to have an abundant amount of such skilled phantoms.

The train finally came and I prepared myself to get aboard. As the automatic doors opened, the people outside the train started to gather at the doorway, trying to push their way through. And the people inside the train had trouble getting out of the train. Hmmm.. who wants to declare first world country status now? After the commotion, I entered the train and looked for a place to sit.

Luckily there was an available seat and so I sat down. I later realized that I was sitting between two grown men and yeah.. thats where the illustration above comes in. I tried to lean backwards, lean forwards, cross my arms and cross my feet to create some space but the two men were stubborn and didn’t give any space. T.T At the next stop I stood up to look for another seat but ended up standing the rest of the way.
